Cetilar® at the StraMarconia Emanuele Angelone 2017

As every year, we are back again in Marconia, a district of Pisticci in the Province of Matera, on the occasion of the tenth edition of StraMarconia Emanuele Angelone on August 13.

StraMarconia is the running race organized by the Association Emanuele11e72, which has been created to promote healthy and sustainable lifestyle, and to raise awareness on environmental issues and on cancer prevention.

During the race there are only biodegradable materials used and the careful management ensures zero environmental impact. All the effort is to guarantee environmental, human and social sustainability.

The mood that has always distinguished this event is: in a cleaner world we live and we run better.

The races are:

– 10,5 km competitive race approved by FIDAL

– Junior run: non-competitive 0,6 km for children

– Soft Run: 3,5 km non-competitive

– Run is Fun: 7km non-competitive

– Run is Passion: 10,5 km non-competitive

Along the way, when crossing the Color Point, runners will be covered with colored powders made from 100% natural products, corn flour and natural dyes. The Color Point will be indicated and will only cover part of the roadway dedicated to those who want to experience the thrill of an explosion of colors, while leaving the road free to the others.

The testimonial of the event will be Leonardo Cenci. He was pointed out by Malagò, president of the CONI, as “an example of courage and passion”, the first Italian to participate to the marathon of New York with a cancer, to whom CONI handed the medal for athletic merit.

In line with the Association’s mission, this year the event will support the project of the Association called “AGATA – Volunteers against Cancer”, which is dedicated to buying a means of transport in order to bring cancer patients to chemotherapy appointments in the health facilities usually far from their community.

The program of the event:

15:30 – Collecting bib numbers and official stramarconia 2017 t-shirts

16:00 – Warm-up with pre-race animation

16:30 – Closing the registration

17:00 – Start of the non-competitive “Junior run” (children up to 12 years)

17:45 – Warm-up with music and pre-race animation

18:15 – Start of the non-competitive “Soft Run”, “Run is Fun” and “Run is Passion”

Start of the competitive race approved by FIDAL

20:00 – Presentations by the institutional representatives and the prize-giving ceremony

Upon arrival at Piazza Elettra, there will be CETILAR® massage points waiting for the participants and visitors.
