Cetilar Racing is ready for its third 24H Le Mans
Yesterday Cetilar Racing completed the 24 Hours of Le Mans qualifying and is ready for the race, which will begin on Saturday. The italian team will start from the 17th place of the LMP2 category.
For the third year in a row Cetilar Racing will take part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The italian team, composed of the three pilots Giorgio Sernagiotto, Roberto Lacorte and Andrea Belicchi and sponsored by Pharmanutra, completed yesterday the last qualifying sessions, taking the 17th place of the LMP2 category (and the 25th overall place over 62 cars).
The pilots and all the men of the team were satisfied with this result. In the last days they have constantly worked for the setup of the DallaraP217 #47 in the view of the start of the race on Saturday afternoon.
“We worked a lot for the race, improving the setup of the car,” Sporting Director Christian Pescatori commented, “During the first day we had a problem at the front brakes. We made some changement to make the car easier to drive on the long distance.”
“We are pretty satisfied of our job,” Roberto Lacorte, Vice President of Pharmanutra and Cetilar Racing team driver, added, “Giorgio was very fast, but found some traffic with the fresh tires and couldn’t take a better result. The gap between us and the others is really tight, with six/seven cars in few tenths. Looking forward the race we are happy, because we have a very fast car and easy to drive.”
The start of the 24 Hours of Le Mans is scheduled on Saturday: at 9 there will be the warm-up, and the race will start from 15. The event will be live televised on Eurosport.
