Cetilar Run 2018: 1700 runners for a record edition

Cetilar-Run-2018

More than 1700 runners gave life to the fifth edition of Cetilar Run on Friday 11 May, the race organized by CUS Parma with the collaboration and support of PharmaNutra SPA through its CetilarĀ® brand.

The evening race in the heart of Parma that brings together experienced runners and simple running enthusiasts

A massive participation of enthusiasts and simple amateurs who have run through the streets and the sweet urban curves of Parma, a huge snake of colors articulated along the Cittadella, the Stradone and still in Piazza Garibaldi, Piazza Duomo, Pilotta and the Parco Ducale. Then back to Via Farini, towards the green lung of the city par excellence, the Cittadella. Vincenzo Agnello from Casone Noceto triumphed and burned the 8 kilometers in 24 minutes and 39 seconds. In pink, the victory goes to the CUS Parma’s athlete, Veronica Paterlini, the first among women to cross the finish line.

Not a simple race, but a real celebration for the entire city

But the Cetilar Run 2018 has not only been the destination for running professionals, but it’s also a celebration party for the entire city, as witnessed by the substantial presence of families and runners not only tied by the chronometer, but also by the desire to put themselves to test. One of the many aspects that make the CUS Parma race a special event which has the patronage of the City and the University. As always, the presence of volunteers, led by Walter Bagatti – the youth members of the CUS Parma Athletics Section, the Parma Marmers, the Avis Cristo, the friends of the cycling group Filippelli Bike Team and the boys of the association Svoltare onlus – who have allowed a smooth and fine organization of the event.

Cetilar Run: a new great classic race for runners

“The Cetilar Run is a kind of ritual that goes confirmed every year, thanks to the relationship we have established with PharmaNutra: an important race that opens the spring season, as well as a sporting event very appreciated by the people of Parma, maybe for the particularly favourable time, or maybe for the conditions and the racecourse”, explained Michele Ventura, President of CUS Parma.
Great enthusiasm also for Carlo Volpi, CFO of PharmaNutra: “The Cetilar Run is an event that we care a lot, because it’s the result of our collaboration with the CUS Parma which we are really proud of. As I have already underlined during the press conference for the presentation of the event, we are deeply linked to the Parma area also with other initiatives and to see that the Cetilar Run keeps on growing, therefore, can only make us happy. It has already become a great classic race of running and having supported it from the outset is a source of pride and satisfaction”.

The service offered by PharmaNutra in the classic blue and white CetilarĀ® pagoda, with the massage points managed by the students in Physiotherapy from the University of Parma, led by the project representative Annalisa Cavaldonati, was highly appreciated by all participants.
