After the incredible recovery during the last 24 Hours of Le Mans 2018, the Cetilar Villorba Corse team is back in the European Le Mans Series, where it’s getting ready to face new challenges in the third round of the season, at the 4 Hours of the Red Bull Ring on Sunday 22 July, in Austria.

The Italian team led by Raimondo Amadio is back in the premier class of LMP2 prototypes with the Dallara P217 motorized Gibson #47. At the wheel the now well-established crew formed by Roberto Lacorte, Giorgio Sernagiotto and the ex F1 pilot Brazilian Felipe Nasr. The three drivers and the team come back from an authentic sporting miracle lived together with the historic 24 Hours of Le Mans, where Cetilar Villorba Corse crossed the finish line for the second consecutive year, realizing an infinite recovery. In ELMS the last engagement dates back to May at the 4 Hours of Monza, a round at home that the team has faced demonstrating high competitiveness, as it did last year on the circuit located in Spielberg.

On the eve of the Austrian appointment, Amadio the team principal said: “After the crazy adventure of Le Mans we are back to ELMS with the Red Bull Ring stage, a circuit favourable to us on the paper that we hope will bring us good results considering that also last year, before an unfortunate collision, we were constantly in the high levels of the ranking. The championship is still long and demanding with four events still on the calendar. We’ll make the maximum effort to try to grab a podium before the end of the season”.

There are 42 (with 18 LMP2) the cars entered in the 4 Hours of the Red Bull Ring, which after turning on the engines yesterday morning with the first free practice session, return today on the track for the second session starting at 9:15, while from 1.40 pm green light for the qualifications.

The race starts on Sunday at 12:00, with live TV on SportItalia of the first and last hour (so from 12 to 13 and from 15 to 16) and live streaming on www.europeanlemansseries.com.
