Cetilar Villorba Corse crosses the finish line of the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans
The Cetilar Villorba Corse team concluded the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2018 after an extraordinary comeback. At 3 pm yesterday the three drivers Roberto Lacorte, Giorgio Sernagiotto and Felipe Nasr have crossed the finish line of the most famous and important endurance race in the world, making a real exploit aboard the Dallara P217- Gibson number # 47.
Considering the series of innumerable drawbacks already started during the qualification phase, the results obtained by Cetilar Villorba Corse are incredible: 19th place overall and 11th in the LMP2 category. During the long race there were several technical problems, all immediately resolved in the pits, but it forced the pilots to keep on pushing hard also mentally to come back. Thanks to the tireless and precise work of all the technicians of Cetilar Villorba Corse, the pilots had been able to complete an authentic achievement, completing 342 laps on the 13.6 Km of the La Sarthe circuit, with 38 pit stops and the triumphal passage under the checkered flag reserved for Roberto Lacorte in 11th position of LMP2 and 19nd overall after 24 long hours of competition.
