End of the 2018 season for Cetilar Villorba Corse
Cetilar Villorba Corse concludes its 2018 season with the 4 Hours of Portimao, the last race in the European Le Mans Series calendar. The 4 Hours of Portimao by Cetilar Villorba Corse, the team supported by Cetilar and PharmaNutra, was a real concentrate of emotions, started right from the first laps of the race.
At the last of the six appointments of the European Le Mans Series 2018, Cetilar Villorba Corse conquers the ninth place on the starting grid for the Dallara P217 # 47 after qualifying on Saturday 27. Brazilian driver Felipe Nasr starts the 4 Hours of Portimao in an offensive way, immediately gaining position on position, until he reached the head of the race after a spectacular comeback. A really super start, which unfortunately was followed first by a flat tire, then a stop & go and finally a long pistop to check the structure of the P217 car. Unfortunately, the excellent attempts to recover by the team mates Giorgio Sernagiotto and Roberto Lacorte were worthless. Cetilar Villorba Corse concluded the 4 hours of Portimao in eleventh position in the LMP2 class.
This is the conclusion of an intense season for the Cetilar Villorba Corse team. A season certainly marked by a dose of bad luck and unforeseen events, such as what happened during the 24 Hours of Le Mans. But it certainly can not be said that this 2018 was not lived at full throttle and accompanied by the affection of many fans, who showed a real extraordinary passion towards this team.
