Cetilar Villorba Corse is focused to face the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans
The Italian team Cetilar Villorba Corse is more determined than ever to run the iconic endurance race of Le Mans, aiming to confirm and improve the 2017 exciting results.
Last 24 hours before the start of the 86th edition of the legendary 24 Heures du Mans, the most important race in the FIA World Endurance Championship. In 2017, for its incredible debut Cetilar Villorba Corse earned the ninth absolute position and the seventh place in the LMP2 class. This year, the team formed by Roberto Lacorte (Vice President of PharmaNutra Spa), Giorgio Sernagiotto and Felipe Nasr is ready to challenge the track of the Sarthe circuit with even more determination.
After having taken an eighth place in the first qualifying sessions on Wednesday 13 June, unfortunately, last night during the second practice session, the Cetilar team suffered a major setback due to the failure of the right rear suspension. The technicians immediately went back to work to bring the Dallara P217-Gibson number # 47 back on the track in time for the Saturday afternoon start.
The three drivers, Roberto Lacorte, Giorgio Sernagiotto and Felipe Nasr are more than ever willing to present themselves on the starting line of the circuit de la Sarthe: at the end of the three qualifying sessions they managed to conquer the 12th position in LMP2 class and the 22nd position overall. At the moment it is difficult to make predictions and this is probably the good and the bad side of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. But one thing is sure: all the Cetilar Villorba Corse team will give its best to be present on the start line and to face the historic 24 Hours, also this year.
