The success of the Cetilar Pisa Half Marathon 2018

A wonderful day of sport and solidarity, with over 2000 people, between runners in competition and passionate runners, gathered all together to participate in the Cetilar Pisa Half Marathon 12th edition. The race was organized by the Association per Donare la vita Onlus – created to assist patients involved in complex therapies together with their families and to promote and encourage the culture of organs donation – in collaboration with the ASD Leaning Tower Runners Group and with the support of PharmaNutra SPA through its brand Cetilar, a range of products dedicated to the reduction of painful symptoms of joints and muscles due to sports injuries.

For the second consecutive year the competitive race was won by Kenyan Paul Tiongik who ended in a time of 1h03m43s. Daniele Meucci from Pisa, testimonial of this Cetilar Pisa Half Marathon finished in place second in 1h06m, while the other Kenyan, Jonathan Kosgei Kanda ended in 1h07m52s. Among women, it was a clear affirmation for the Rwandan Primitive Niyirora, who stopped the clock in 1h17m20s preceding on the finish line Laura Giachi (1h25m5s) and Ilaria Bianchi (1h26m2s), while the success in the relay, one of the new format of this edition, went to Carabinieri with Mattia Moretti and Stefano La Rosa, at the first place in 1h08m2s.

The prize giving ceremony was attended by the President of PharmaNutra SPA, Andrea Lacorte, and the Scientific Director Germano Tarantino, who highlighted the close collaboration relationship between the Tuscan pharmaceutical company and the Pisa Half Marathon, a partnership which took shape once again this year through a strong presence on the field on Sunday, with two Cetilar massage points where 6 physiotherapists were at work, first at the start and then at the finish line, and at the Expo Half Marathon, set up on Friday and Saturday at the Arsenali Repubblicani. During these three days, the PharmaNutra staff also distributed around 2,000 product samples – from Cetilar cream to the new Ultramag supplement – and 3,200 branded Cetilar runner bags.

After this successful edition of the Cetilar Pisa Half Marathon, the next appointment with PharmaNutra and Cetilar for the running enthusiasts is Sunday 25 November with the Asics Firenze Marathon, event of which our company is Official Sponsor. Also on this occasion, to get the best out of the event and enjoy the services offered by PharmaNutra, the participants in the  marathon of Florence will be able to take advantage of the functions of the APP Cetilar Run, created by Calabughi Entertainment Games and available on the APP Store for IOS and Android devices.
